I'm in a photography class and have a nikon fe that I would like to buy other lenses for. I really need a yellow, red, green, and polarizer for. I just wanted to know what would work and where to find them. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You can basically use every Nikon F-bayonet lens ever made, except the modern G lenses which do not have an aperture ring.

If it has a G after the f/stop you can't use it

For the Nikon FE and lenses:

--KEH.com (6 month warranty! I buy the bulk of my cameras and lenses here and they are hands down the most reliable with the widest selection)
--Adorama.com (Navigate to the used department on their site. I buy most of my film there too)
--BHPhoto.com (Navigate to the used department on their site. They are good too.)
--CameraRepair.com (pricey but they know their stuff!)

For the filters:

--Any local camera shop is fine.

The Nikon FE will accept Non-AI (sometymes called Pre-AI), AI, AIS and E Series lenses. The Non-AI lenses must be used in stop-down metering mode and you have to flip a tab on the mount up to attach the lens. I don't suggest using these unless you have a specific reason to. E Series lenses are VERY cheap and made of plastic but have good glass. Buy them if you're on a budget. The best lenses are the AIS lenses though. These are the most sophisticated manual focus Nikkor lenses around and they are still being made today actually. I use these. The optics are incredible, the build quality is incredible and they were available in massive variety so you can be sure to get exactly the lens you need/want for the job.

Manual and Metal! Film Forever!
