Is Best Buy a safe place to buy a refurbished camera?

I want to buy a Nikon D90 and i noticed that best buy is selling a refurbished version so i was just wondering if its safe or good to buy it?

So far no problem from best buy. Don't buy from tiger direct;their refubished have problems(e.g TV won't turn on on first try. Computer freeze.

Refurbs can be a good deal. It all depends on how much you save and if you can live with the warranty. Most refurbs only carry a 90 day warranty instead of a one year warranty. I would buy a refurb before I bought an "open box" sale item though.

Best Buy is a safe and trusted website many people use it so yeah its ok.

Yes, if you can verify that the camera's refurb work was done by Nikon and not some third party.

Actually, safer as far as I'm concerned, is Amazon. They are very well known for honesty. If they weren't they shouldn't be in the position they are now. I don't buy refurb opting for the 1-year warranty.

Best Buy has a 6 month rating of 2.85 and a life-time rating of 1.98 as opposed to KEH with a 6.14 6 month and a 7.59 life-time rating at
