A good photography camera within my price range?

I'm really into photography of basically everything, but my cheap little digital camera makes it really hard. I really like the Nikon 3100, but it was Way to expensive. So here is my max price: $300. I know that I'm asking for a lot, but any brand will do. Something that will give me nice shots.

You definitely can't get a new dslr for that but maybe a used one. Look for a used d70 or d70s. Maybe a used d3000

Check out the Coolpix S6200, L120 and the Powershot SX150.

I never know what people mean by a "photography" camera. If I shoot with a $90 camera or a $3, 000 one, it's all photography to me. Anyway I suggest the Nikon S8200. Another good one is the Canon SX130 IS.
If you like a tiny camera I suggest the Panasonic DMC-FH20.
