Which is better? A Nikon or a Canon?

Do Nikon come out clear or Canon? Just tell me in your opinion, what is better Nikon or Canon?

This type of question gets asked about which Camera Manufacture or Camera Model is better or recommended far too often which I've said this many times before and I'll say this once again.

It comes down to personal preference where some may like how Nikon feels in their hands or how the layout of the Nikon Cameras are. Vice Verse on Canon Cameras.

Nikon fans would be saying to get Nikon. Same thing with Canon Fans where they would be saying to get Canon.

So otherwise it all comes down to personal preference.

Take a look in a glossy magazine.

Can you tell which ones were shot with Nikon's? Canon's

Which images come out clearer has All to do with your skills, NOT the camera you use.

Both camera makers make the cameras that the professional photographers use.

There are two reasons for a pro to use one camera brand over the other.

* the cameras are supplied to them by their employer (not choice)
* they have been using one camera system and the cost of changing over to the other is just too expensive

This is why it is so important that you do your own independent research, taking maybe a year or so before you marry one camera brand or the other

Have you visited the Nikon and Canon websites and compared the features of the models that are in your budget range?

Have you visited DP Review to do a side by side comparison of the two or three models you think you like?

Have you visited a website like dxomark to see which of your choices perform the best in low light?

Have you visited a proper camera shop to see how the two cameras fit in your hands?

These are just some of the things you need to do to determine which brand is best for you.

Buying anything based upon brand popularity ONLY is not a good plan

They are both good cameras both reliable and industry standard. The best way to know for yourself is to go into a camera shop and have someone let you hold both cameras and play with them. In the end the only major differences are: nikon produces warmer colors, canon produces cooler colors.nikon's sensor shows less grain at higher isos than canon does. But canon does produce alot better quality video.

Neither, but you need a brain to use them.
