Which entry-level DSLR is best for a non-pro?

I've been travelling a lot lately and I'm planning to buy a new DSLR to capture all my journeys. Which entry-level DSLR would you guys recommend? Also which brand is better, Canon or Nikon?

Go for Nikon. Entry level DSLR not a bad idea. Go for Nikon D3100

It is also know as the Canon 600D. This DSLR is rated number one for beginner photographers. Its high ratings comes about as a result of its ease of use and its ability to take amazingly wonderful photographs and videos also. Ask any professional photographer if the 600D is a good DSLR for you, and I'm sure they will recommend it to you.
