I shot this image with a Nikon d3200 at 1/200th, ISO 100, f/6.3 with a 55-200mm lens, and am looking for some critique. Post processing (bumped up the colors a bit) was done in Lightroom 4. I've been trying to shoot some stuff related to patterns/rhythm/repetition lately.

It's ornamental; you're photographing a design beholding such patterns/rythm/repetition

Just a tip if you are looking to do architectural patterns - get the whole pattern in the shot, or cropped in such a way as the design is complete as is. The photo as it is is just rather ordinary and the pattern/rhythm/repetition is incomplete - and it is static, without movement. Incomplete because there's not continuity to your pattern, it's cut off top and bottom - and when a pattern is cut it stops any visual movement, so you lose rhythm. As for repetition, I don't get that in your image - repetition is like railroad tracks or a bowl of marbles, or a flock of birds - it is a repeat of shapes or lines - you have none of that in the image that's obvious except in the texture on the glass. So, try this, crop in further since you can't extend the image. Crop in close showing some of the arch details, curves, and with the glass texture and see if you can get some movement of line and texture.

It's a bit simplistic, but yes, it is a very nice example of rhythm/pattern/repetition.
But try to find subjects where the main focal point reflects these. In this image, the center design does show rhythm, but it could be pushed even further into a visual texture realm…

Nice work, keep up your experiments!
