Phone Videos not transferring to Windows Movie Maker?

I'm trying to make a timeline of our son's videos. I transferred all the videos from our phone onto our computer;however, I'm not able to import them to Windows Movie Maker. All my videos from my Nikon had no issue transferring to the program. Any ideas of how I can fix this?

This is because the phone shoots videos that WMM can't use. You either need a Video Editing Program that can take those files your phone makes or get a file conversion program, loose the quality of your phone video and convert that file to a file format WMM can use.
