Is Nikon SLR better than Nikon 1?

I want one and don't know which is better so is Nikon slr better than Nikon 1 J1 or Nikon 1 v1 which is best out of all three and please if it's possible can you tell me why it's better Thanks.

I assume you mean DSLR?
SLRs print photos onto film. DSLRs record photos digitally.

To answer your question, there's no camera that is "better" than another.
Every camera (even little mirrorless cameras like the Nikon 1) can create a beautiful images, if you know how to use it properly.

It doesn't matter what camera you use. Just pick one that best suits your needs, and go from there.

It depends on what you mean by better. Also, image quality depends mostly on the skill of the photographer, not so much on the camera.

But yes, if one compares technical stats, the Nikon DSLRs give the Nikon 1 system a beating. The DSLRs use a bigger, better sensor and offer a superior user interface.

I don't like the Nikon 1.It doesn't have a viewfinder that you can look through, nor a hot shoe for a flash. It didn't have a good feel to it when I tested it.
You'll be better off with a Nikon D3200, or D3100.
I don't like any EVIL camera.
