I use the DSTE battery grips… They get good reviews and are reasonable… I have one on the D5100 and it's OK, no problems to report. I'm just about to stick one on a D7000 to see how it fairs… I wouldn't recommend them for Pro use and i'd be cautious when working with tripods… I reckon the DSTE are one of the better third party options.

The truth be told… You would be better looking for the actual Nikon branded grip… I'm just experimenting to see how long the DSTE will survive… It actually feels as though it has a decent amount of life in it… More than it's price would suggest.
