Nikon d3200 blurry group images?

Any ideas?

Added (1). what should my apeture be at for group images, or is it some other settings that I do not have right. My close ups, or images of just a couple of people look GREAT. But the far away/group photos are absolutely blurry. I shoot on auto. I'm no pro. This is very frustrating to me, I have looked everywhere online. Also do I need to change my apeture when I change from group photo to single person (vice versa?) if I'm shooting on auto?

You need to get a basic book on photography and camera controls and read it. The simple fact that you don't seem to understand that aperture controls depth of field is enough to tell me that you would not understand any detailed answer to your question.

By the way, why would you bother using a fully adjustable DSLR camera if you're just going to shoot on manual anyway? You'd be better off with a point and shoot.

You can't control ANYTHING with the camera in Auto. It is, in fact, a waste of the camera and it's capabilities to only use it in Auto.

You need a smaller aperture, (higher f-stop number), to get a greater depth of field for a group shot. How small depends on things such as the lens focal length you are using and how "deep" the group of people are. Usually something like f16 will give you all people in focus. This can, depending on light, require a much slower shutter speed, which the camera will select if you shoot in Aperture Priority mode. However, you may need a tripod if the speed becomes too slow, or you will have blur due to camera movement.

I have a feeling you Really need a book such as this:
