Is a 35-70 2.8 AF Nikkor lens compatible with a Nikon D300s camera?

I attached the lens and it keeps blinking fEE at the top. Do I need to change a setting in order to use it or something? Or is it incompatible?

You have to block the diaphgram ring [ the closer one to the body ] to the max aperture, f:22

Set the aperture ring (the one closest to the body) to the largest f/number (smallest aperture size). If there's a lock, use it. You can control aperture size using the wheel(s) on the body instead.
