If it is a "non AI" lens and is a Nikon AF or AF-S lens, then yes.

It would have to be converted to AI before it would mount.

You can't mount the lens on the D7000 safely unless it's converted to AI. It's a matter of modifying the aperture ring. See link.

When checking Nikon lens to body compatibility, it's good to refer to the chart in your users manual for your camera.

According to it, the D7000 is not compatible with Pre-AI lenses but can be used with AI lenses.

Be sure that your 135/2.8 Nikkor is in fact not AI. Does it have two sets of aperture markings or just one? One indicates pre-AI. Does the auto indexing prong on the lens have holes in it or not. If not, it's pre-AI. Finally, notice if there's a black metal tab around the part of the lens barrel closet to the body. I say this because a great number of Pre-AI lenses have been converted and there are also a number of lenses that LOOK like Pre-AI as but are in fact AI which came out of the factory like this. I've come across numerous examples of each and in fact, personally own fewer true, unmodified Pre-AI lenses than otherwise. So it's worth examining further rather than just writing your particular 135/2.8 as unusable.

The early 135/2.8 Nikkors are very nice yet economical lenses. I have both an unconverted Pre-AI and the factory AI version and use them often. They don't get a lot of mention as legendary lenses but for actual photography, it's a useful, solid performer.
