How to get PTP Mode on a Nikon D5100?

I have the Nikon D5100 I bought it about a month ago, i need to do some stop motion work for Media, and i'm working with a software called iStop Motion which requires me to set my camera into PTP more for a live feedback view on my Mac screen, how do i set up PTP mode on my camera? Thank you, also its an SLR if that you didn't know that already.

It's called tethering. Tethering allows your camera to be connected to a computer for instant viewing of a photo just taken. I use it for portrait shooting. I have a Canon by the way.

If your camera is capable and if you've loaded your Nikon software go to the program's help section and look up tethering. If your software will do it, you're in. If not… What can I say.

Your manual says nothing about tethering.
