How to charge a Nikon D60?
I got a nikon D60 and have no idea how I'm supposed to charge it because it doesn't work when I plug the USB in the computer
I heard you the first time.
Only an idiot tries this.
The Nikon D60 will not charge directly from the computer. There should be a MH-23 battery charger included with the camera when you bought it. The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the camera. You open it, take the battery out and put it on the charger. It should charge within an hour. If the battery is new it will take closer to two hours.
If no battery charger was included then go back and talk to the person that sold you the camera and get the charger as it should be included with the camera. If you can't contact the person then you can buy a new charger from bhphotovideo.com for $40 or order from Nikon direct for $60.
The Nikon D60 uses an Li-ion battery and came with a battery charger.
You need to use the battery charger. The USB port on a dSLR is a data port only.
You have assumed that any device with a USB port can be charged using that port. NO dSLR camera battery can be charged that way and only a few P&S camera.
You need to read your user manual, cover to cover until you understand how your fine camera works
Why haven't you attempted to pick up the Owners Manual?
Here's a great idea. Try Reading the Owners Manual because the Owners Manual covers so much basic information including on How to Charge the Battery on the Nikon D60
Wow It's on Page 16 of the Owners Manual which can be found in the PDF if you physically don't have the Owners Manual

Many of the cameras doesn't use the USB to charge the batteries.
Only apple iPods charge using the usb/computer.
Cameras are charged by placing their rechargeable battery or batteries in a charger for the time recommended.
You access this information by reading the Nikon manual.
Don't worry you won't have to read the WHOLE manual, just the first few pages.
Charge it with Battery and Assault then throw in Estafa for good measure.
Haha!
Plugging in your camera to the USB port of a computer drains the camera's battery. Your camera should have come with a wall charger. You could take the risk and use your imagination on how to use that or you can read the manual to stay on the safe side.
