Can I Use Sony's Microphone (ECM-CG1/ECM-ALST1) At Nikon Or Canon's Camera?

One issue you may have is what powers the microphone? Electret mics generally require a power supply. Some cameras supply this power via the audio cable, and some mics have their own battery.
My Nikon cameras do supply power via the connector, so I just remove the battery from my 3rd party mics. If you buy an Electret mic, and it has it's own battery, I would recommend trying the mic without the battery first to see if it works. If it doesn't, then use the mic's battery.
