How to use a Blue Yeti Microphone with a camera?
I just recently purchased a Blue Yeti Microphone so that I could record music, and I would like to also video my piano as I play. I can't figure out how to put the audio and video together. Blue Yeti is a USB microphone, and my camera is a Nikon. I really need help with this so any information would be much appreciated.
You can't.
The intent of a USB microphone is to be able to easily plug it into a computer and record, and the condenser gets powered from the USB port.
You will need a condenser mic that does not require phantom power in order to plug it into your camera.
I've been surprised by the quality of recording on a lot of newer smartphones - that might be an option if you have a fairly decent one.
