Will my Kodak camera charger charge my Nikon camera battery?
I have a kodak camera batter charger (One that you insert the battery into the device and plug it into the wall) and it seems to fit my Nikon camera battery perfect and the light shows up that its charging when I plug it into the wall does this mean it will charge it? If so why is that? Is Nikon and Kodak related in some way?
=)
Check the voltages before trying to charge it with the wrong charger, even if it fits, because if they're different then you could mess up the battery.
It doesn't mean they're related; they could be manufactured by the same battery company, or it could just be because these things are somewhat standardized.
Kodak cameras are near the bottom quality wise, one step above GE, which are junk.
Be safe and buy a Nikon charger.
Nikon & Kodak are in no way related! Kodak is a American company, Nikon is Japanese.
Unless it's a common camera battery type such as an NP-50 then I'd be rather careful. There should be some type of indication on the battery as to it's "type".
