Why is my Nikon N80 Autofocus not working?

Tony
I put a new roll of film into my SLR camera and the auto-focus mode isn't working (it isn't focusing) when I press the shutter release button. Also, how do you read the light meter? It seems to be negative all the time and never at the 0.

Sounds like your batteries have died, as they power the light meter and the film advance. You'll need a pair of CR123A cells which you can find in many common sources as well as online.
