Why haven't nikon or canon made their own camera phone? - 1

It seems like a great product idea and i know a ton of people who would buy it. I think the reason alot of people don't get into photography is because their big fancy cameras seem intimidating. I feel as if it was on a phone itd be easier to learn and eventually the user would want to upgrade to an actual nikon or canon.

To learn photography you don't need a big camera, you can just do it with a simple Kodak camera or on your cellphone. Nikon / Canon are not into this business as they already make ton by selling camera and accessories and don't want to involve into another business and come into competition.
