Why does my nikon n80 camera have a shutter delay?
Guest
I haven't used it much, i got it a couple years ago, used, and without a manual or anything. It usually has about a 15 second delay.

The self-timer is on. If you do a google search for a manual, you'll learn how to turn it off, and more besides.

I agree about self timer. Contact Nikon.com direct and get info there. You may even have a self timer lever or button on that camera.

Self timer is explained on page 68 of your manual.
