Which Nikon 28-70mm Lens?
To be said simply, which one would you get an why?
The old
Nikon 28-70mm AF-D
or the newer
Nikon 28-70mm AF-S (ID or something or another?)
and why
Since Nikon does not make a 28-70 mm lens, I can't say
The AF-S Nikkor lenses focus faster than the older AF Nikkor lenses
The AF-S lenses can also be used on any of the entry level Nikon dSLR cameras (under $1,000)
Currently there's only one 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens made and it is a Nikkor AF-S lens
Depends on your camera body. If you have a D3xxx or a D5xxx you won't get autofocus without an AF-S.
I would be looking for the ED version as it gives extended dynamic range anyway.
