next comes nikon and then comes sony

Personally as far as Point and Shoots go, Canon and Sony are tied,
Sony does have the perk of the really nice Carl Zeiss lenses on a lot of their compact cameras.
Those sorts of Lenses on interchangable cameras can run up thousands of US dollars, (Not sure how that translates to your currency, but over here that'll put a pretty big hole in your pocket)

Nikon P&S are really good too just not up to par with Canon and Sony.
