Which is better Nikon 18-55mm or 18-105mm lens?

Not considering the price and the zoom range which lens is better quality, the Nikon 18-55mm VR or the 18-105mm VR?

I like the 18-55 mm it just seems alot cleaner

More to do with sample variation than design. If you get a good copy of either it will be an excellent lens.

Technically, image quality should be better with the 18-55mm. The shorter the zoom range, the better the glass. That is why lenses that do not zoom, those they call primes, are the very best.

If you consider versatility, one lens that does it all, from wide angle to normal to telephoto, the 18-105mm is better because it goes to super telephoto. The 18-55 is only up to telephoto.
