What is the difference between a 105mm and a 105mm ED-IF9 (newer)?

Guest
Nikon 105mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor Lens VS 105mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor Lens. The only thing I see added is the ED-IF which I'm not sure what that is.
Is there that big of a difference? Because the price difference is huge.

The af-s lens has a built in focus motor. The other does not.
