Which is better in SLR? NIKON or CANON?

I'm planning to buy a new SLR. CAn you help me decide which brand to buy?

Nikon Bcoz i saw many people having them.n I don't know much abt photography. You can wait for some other answers

Congratulations on being the 10 millionth person to ask this of Y! A.
Pepsi and Coke
VW and Honda
etc etc
Both equal performers - buy the one you like best.

Nikon and canon are pretty much equal in photos
nikon / nikkor = better lenses ( which can be used on canon cameras)
canon = far Superior video

Buy a Hasselblad, they're better than Nikon & Canon both.

You aren't ready for an SLR - try evolving to the point where you can count beyond two.
Of course I'm being rude, I'm not allowed to pour petrol over you and set it alight. Cretins have asked this same question 168, 000 times so far on YA - you were too stupid to even do a simple search before you asked it again.

Take yourself to a camera shop, try each of them, decide. Just remember, you are getting married. The investment in lenses will keep you with one brand.

It depends on the user. Many are historically nikonians and some are cannonians. Both are good from user friendlyness.
However, I think Canon offers extensive varieties of lenses I think. So if you are a person, whoc would be collecting loads of lenses, then Canon could be the choice. If you will be with the basic Kit, both will do the same functions for the same effort.

The BEST camera for you is the fine ZENIT KM-D1. User friendly and comes with instructions.
