Which cameras are better?

So my birthday is coming up and i really want to get a nice camera. Are nikon cameras better or are canon cameras better?

Canon and Nikon are pretty much neck and neck. It does not matter which brand you go with.

You want a nice camera, only know Canon and Nikon and think there's a difference between them?
