WHICH CAMERA DO I NEED?
I'm a film student, I'm looking for a good camera of canon or nikon that i can use for filming! I'm not looking for any camera i need a camera thats good quality and HD! I want the videos to look professional!
The higher the price, the better the camera. Just google it.
What is your budget? A halfway decent one is about $2000, a professional one is about $20,000. I'd look into a used one as well.

I also have a degree in television production but I work in IT now lol.
D700 Nikon. Love it
Then you want a camcorder.
A DSLR is a bad choice for video. It is heavier, the controls are not setup for video, the auto-focus does not work as well while shooting, the accessories are $$$ more expensive, etc.
Look at the higher end camcorders or the "prosumer" models.
Note: Newbies think that a technology-laden camera will make up for lack of experience & talent. It won't. There's a lot of other technical things you have to worry about (lighting, audio, editing) and creative things (composition, dialog, talent, etc) so do NOT blow all your money on an expensive camera. Go budget so you have money for the tripod, video editing software, lights, etc.
- Confused as to which camera I need? And what camera do you use?
- Need camera suggestions. I'm stuck between Canon and Nikon brands. Need suggestions?
- Need opinions on which camera to buy?
- Do you know which camera/video recorder I'm in need of?
- Which cheap waterproof camera would you pick between these 2. Need opinion?
