All three make great dSLR's. All dSLR's by the way are good, no matter what brand or model.

With respect to point-and-shoot cameras, Nikon lags behind. Sony and Canon make solidly built cameras which are easy to use. Sony generally comes with more features. Other solid point-and-shoot cameras are those made by Pentax and Panasonic.
