Quality or Not? Burris 1 inch Quick Detach Solid Steel Riflescope Rings?
My question is to whether or not going with "Burris 1 inch Quick Detach Solid Steel Riflescope Rings" is the right choice for scope rings to mount on a picatinny rail mount on a Browning BLR in 450 Marlin.
I have a Nikon 4-12x40 BDC Scope with a 1" Neck.
What I'm trying to avoid are scope rings that will not hold the scope under the ammount of stress a 450 Marlin produces. Any input?
I've never used the quick detach rings but I have used burris signature rings and never had a problem
Burris makes good products.
That being said, I wouldn't get "quick detach" anything when firing such a powerful round. I would suggest you check manufacturer's websites for scope rings that are intended for heavy-recoil cartridges, and buy one that is recommended for the cartridge you're using.
Since the last Burris mounts I bought, with my Burris scope, are over 20 years old, I don't know about the quality these days, but MINE still work fine. (They are NOT on a picatinny rail however.)
