What to bring to a concert?
I'm going to a One Direction/5SOS concert on Thursday. (Please don't judge me based on who I'm seeing. I get that not everyone likes One Direction but it's my music taste. Not yours.)
What should I bring besides posters? And what shouldn't I bring? It's from 7:00-11:30 and I'm thinking of bringing a professional camera (Nikon T3I). I looked at the official Lincoln Financial Field website and I didn't see any guidelines/rules for concerts, only football games. Any and all answers are greatly appreciated! (:
Added (1). Oops - not a Nikon T3I, a CANON T3I.
A lot of places check your bags before concerts now even tell you to get rid of kids from your drink bottles (no idea why) so I'd say just take things like purse, phone, essensials that you know you will need! Wouldn't go other the top with stuff to take!
If you want merch, bring a lot of money. Shirts are about $25-45. Also bring extra money for food and water (you can't bring your own), even just a little, you don't wanna pass out or anything. Arrive early to find your seats, get merch and food/water early so there's not long lines later.
Make sure you look at the weather for that day to make sure you dress appropriately and warm enough, if its gonna get chilly bring a light jacket. Bring sunglasses if it's going to be sunny. Ponytails or headbands. Wear light makeup. Fully charged phone/camera (or extra batteries & memory cards for camera)
I would call your stadium just in case about your camera, I know for my stadium we can't have detachable lenses and the lens can't be longer than 3 inches, if yours isn't like that it sounds fine though. Make sure you know how to use the different camera functions before your concert to get the best pictures and videos.
You probably know the basics of what not to bring but it's mostly just your own foods/beverages, posters can't be insanely big or have inappropriate language or phrases, same thing with clothing.
Also I know mostly every concert date everyone is planning something, like what to wear or special things to do or posters to hold up during songs. Check twitter or tumblr to find what you guys might be doing.
Have fun!
