What kind of scope rings do i need for a Remington 700 VTR.308?

I have the Remington 700 VTR in a.308 with the triangular barrel. The scope I'm using is the Nikon Prostaff 5 4.5-18x40.

I have a pair like these: http://www.amazon.com/...001EYDN2I/ that work really well for Nikon 1" tubes
It's on my R700 SPS Tactical

It depends on your budget. There are a lot of options out there now days varying in price from $50 a pair to several hundred dollars, they all have their strengths and weaknesses. I would suggest you look at Burris, Talley and Warne.

Blackhawk

Depends what you want to do with it! If you gonna use it mainly for hunting I would choose a good BDC type scope. If you want to push out to 1000 yards I'd recommend a turret type scope. Vortex PST, weaver tactical, millet. If you want to go high end the you got nightforce, S&B, Leupold Mark 4. I would do some research if I was you. My goal was to touch 1000 yards do I went with a Mark 4 ERT 6.5-20x50. Also research the difference between First Focal and Second Focal. Mil vs MOA and look at a lot of reviews.
