What is your opinion about the Nikon Corp. And their products?

I want to know everyone's honest opinion about Nikon.

I started with Pentax and Minoltas then went to Nikon in the Mid 70's. Since that time I have had 5 of them ( in fact I still have all 5 and they all work ) I think Nikon is a great company with good service. I was just reading the other day in the Nikon equipment forum on eyefetch where someone had dropped their new Nikkor lens. They sent it to Nikon and it was broken beyond repair. This was due to dropping it not due to any product defect. Nikon sold them a new one for half price. They could have said sorry what bad luck but thats not the type of company they are.

I have a Nikon dx 40. The photo quality makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

I think they're an amazing company. They deliver quality products to it's consumers. And personally I have nothing to hold against them. Every Nikon product I own had done me justice and I wouldn't go to anyone else.

They are loyal to their photographers they don't make their equipment obsolete. I will probably make a Edit after some Canon user makes their asinine comments.
