What is wrong with my Nikon N8008s film camera?

I just put some new film in and when i went to look in the little look-whole (i don't know what its called) i couldnt see anything. Its like the lense is closed but its not.however, what i can see on the little screen in the little look -whole is an "x" then it says: P Lo F 3.8

what does that mean?

The "look-whole" is sometimes called a viewfinder. Download a manual from Nikon to find out what the error code means. I would try reseating the lens.
