Did I pick the wrong film for my 35mm Holga?

So I just bought a Holga toy camera off of Urban Outfitters. I went into a camera shop and told the guy I wanted 35mm black and white film. I buy the film and go home and I try to load the film and it isn't fitting! Did he give me the wrong film or am I doing something wrong? If not, I can probably use this film in my Nikon FG anyway, so its not wasted, right?

I just looked the camera up online. It does take 35mm film. Does the film say 35mm on it? That is the standard film that you find at most stores (you can find it at Walgreens, Walmart, Target, etc… ). Not sure why it is not fitting. Maybe take it with you to the store and see if they can help you load it?

Are you sure you bought a 35mm Holga? These cameras do come in 35mm format but they're also found in 120 format. Is the opening where you put the film too big for the film to fit properly? If so then you probably have a 120 Holga which means you will need to buy 120mm film. Although there are ways to use 35mm film in a 120 Holga, which you can look up on google and youtube.

Go to pro camera shop and see if they will help… They usually will if it is not to busy for them. Also do a search for holga. You are bound to find somebody that has step by step to load the film.
