Is your aperture opened wide enough?

You did not load the camera properly. Did you check to see if the rewind knob turned slightly when you advanced the film? Reread your loading instructions. Take up the slack by turning the rewind crank counterclockwise until tension is felt. And don't forget to check that the rewind knob turns slightly when you advance the film. The rewind knob should turn slightly every time you advance the film.

Also make sure you push in the rewind button on the bottom of the camera and you wind the film back into the cassette all the way. If some film sticks, you could mistakenly re use the film and ruin the pictures that way also.

OPen the back of your camera and fire away. DO you see light through your lens? If not, something is wrong with the camera.
