What is the difference between canon and nikon?

Is there an actual difference or is it just personal opinions, does a certain one take better pictures?

It's down to individual preference. They are comparable in the quality of their lenses and components.

But it's the photographer's skill which determines how good the photographs are, and a skilled photographer can get superb images using almost any camera. Conversely, there are no cameras which will cause an unskilled photographer to take good photos.

No. Pentax, Sony and Olympus all do the same job, just as well. Canon and Nikon just spend more on advertising.

In my opion, i think the Nikon focuses on more of the quality of the picture. But Canon focuses on everything (pictures, video, etc)

Both have same features & good lenses. The results depends on photographer's skills & photography basics.photography is an art & camera is just a medium like a paint brush for a painter, take any SLR & start clicking.

Nikon is better. They're also spelled differently.
