What is the basic lens for a for Nikon N65?

I picked one up the other day, not realizing that it didn't have a lens. What is the basic lens for this camera? I just need something for everyday pictures.

You need a lens for Nikon cameras that does NOT say "DX" in its description. Either nothing in case of old lenses, or "FX" in case of new ones would be ok.

Consider e.g. The Nikkor 28-80mm f/3.3-5.6 AF. It's cheap but surprisingly good.

I believe the 28-80 was the standard it lens for the N65. Any FX lens will work fine, though.
