Would a lens from my Nikon N65 mount on a Nikon D3000?

I have an old analog N65 and wanted to upgrade to digital using the same lens.
The lens is Quantaray for Nikon AF 28-90mm 1:35-5.6 Macro.

With only a few exceptions any Nikon or aftermarket F mount lens can be used on any Nikon 35mm film camera or DSLR. Of course you won't have auto focus and may have to use stop-down metering. Enjoy.

That Quantaray AF 28-90mm was originally made by Sigma, and is an inexpensive mid-range zoom that doesn't house a built-in autofocus motor. Thus, it will mount and meter on your D3000, but it won't autofocus.

As it is, your D3000 has a smaller (DX) sensor than the 35mm size of the N65, so your 28-90mm lens will give you the effective view of a 42-135mm lens. If you want a true wide angle, get an inexpensive Nikon 18-55mm and you're good to go.
