What color is Nikon F5 body cap?

I recently bought a Nikon F5.
Mel Pierce Camera of Los Angeles merchant who sold me the camera claims it is brand new. They said that Nikon F5s come with black body caps.
It came with a black body cap but the manual shows the cap as white.
Anyone can shed some light on this/

Black caps. The only white cap I've ever seen are the cheap translucent ones they used on the F65 and other late entry level products
