Water damage camera!

I jumped in the pool with my Nikon camera and i turned it on and it wasn't working so i dried it off immediately and took out the batteries and SD card and I put it in rice is there anything else I can do to make it work… And when i turned it on the screen had black and gray lines. Please NO stupid answers!

Since you turned it on while it was wet, the electrical circuits are probably shorted out.

Rice usually only works when the camera is turned off and does not get completely deluged with water.

It can take over thee to four days for all the moisture to dry out using rice, changing the rice every 12 hours or so.

If it does not work after a couple of days, it is time to get a new camera. Fixing it will only cost more then a new, better camera
