Want to buy a camera, please suggest which one?

I don't have much knowledge about cameras thats why i'm asking,
my range is below rs 10k bt can extend to 11k max if i'm getting extremely good one. So please suggest me a good camera in this range of renowned company like SONY, SAMSUNG, NIKON ETC

i have shortlisted two
1. Sony DSC-H100 Point & Shoot
2.Samsung WB100 Point & Shoot

which one is good among the above two

also whether samsung cameras are good or average because i have heard lots of criticism of galaxy camera launched few months ago

tell me which one is good and if you have any other good options for me other than this then please tell me

Well I would recommend Sony, I have cyber shot and it has been working pretty nice, also check out Olympus cameras!

When you are going for digi cam then always go for just two brand one is Nikon and other is Sony its because every brand use lens manufactured by Nikon and Sony digital cam are good. Here I would say for Sony DSC-H100 Point & Shoot.

Nikon is better then other

Nikon is the best check nikon s8200 it is a good option!

These models must not be distributed in the USA since I couldn't find them, so I couldn't get a review for you.

Sony is a quality camera company. Their quality matches Canon and Nikon. My recommended P&S camera is the Sony RX100, but is probably out of your price range.

Samsung makes a wonderful computer monitor (I have one), but I've never heard anyone rave about their cameras.

So, if I had to make a choice, I'd choose the Sony.

You know what, here is the rule of thumb:-
1. Digital Camera (Point & Shoot) best is Sony
2. Bridge Camera (Bridge cameras are better thn Point and Shoot and smaller then SLR) - Sony or Nikon / Cannon
3. DSLR - Only Nikon / Cannon

Please don't consider Samsung in this (camera) sector. Samsung is good for Phone and TV.

I had a sony dsc-h20 and really liked it before i went to DSLR. Of your two choices id lean towards the sony H100. I also really liked the nikon S8100 too and they are pretty cheap second hand.

I'll highly recommend you to buy sony cybershot h100 or h200.
