I want to buy a SLR camera under the range of RS 35k.please suggest?

Hi. I'm not so perfect in photography but i want to get a best value for money slr camera with all latest importand features. Not to comlicated though.brand no issue.although i prfer nikon and sony. Also i have absolutely no idea of how it works either. Would love to learn it though! Please help me.budget <35k. From INDIA(delhi). I can wait also if a really good model is coming up soon in a month or so

Nikon D3100 or Canon 1100D

Nikon D3100 will be best for you.

Its cost is between 26-29K (MRP is 32, 950 printed price).So if you buy it from renowned showroom like in connaught place, they will not negotiate on price. But if you buy it from Chandini Chowk, You may get it between 26-27K with kit lens with all basic freebies. Like 4GB card and Carry Bag.

Nikon D3100 has guide mode which will teach you how to click images in different situation. So it will be easy to learn SLR Functions if you are new and beginner for SLR.

Second Option is Sony A33L. Its MRP is 33, 990/-. And its features are like Nikon or Cannon's expensive cameras. I don't know the best price below the MRP. So you can inquire about it.

Third option is Canon 550D. Its price is Rs. 39, 990. But again at chandini chowk you may get it around in your budget.

Personally I will not prefer sony in DSLR. Because sony has just started producing to manufacture DSLR. And sony's lens option is limited.

As you are entering into DSLR world. I hope you understand the importance of Lenses also. Once you buy a DSLR, after spending some time with it, you will also need pair of good lenses which cost you more than Camera itself.

Last, if you can wait, wait till April end. The rumours is a new version of D3100 will come up with added features and that is D3200.

Handling SLR is not a rocket science. It just need a creative mind and vision for light with lot of passion and skills. Enjoy!
