Things to look for when Buying a Used Digi Cam?
I'm purchasing a used Nikon L105 digital camera from Craigslist.
SO. What things should i look out for when buying a used digital camera, things to test, check for, etc?
First my advice would be not to buy used sight unseen. You can't handle it, shoot with it and most of all you can't check the results. Stay away from used you can't actually look at and question about…
not a good idea.
I actually think you have a reasonable chance that the camera works just fine.
The Nikon L105 (as well as the others in that line) is a ridiculously basic camera, and I keep seeing people who bought one without doing any real research, then regret buying it.
So it is possible that the person just wants to get rid of it to get a decent camera with better features.
However, as Jim said… I do hope you'll be able to try it out, put in your own memory card and check the photos before you buy it.
Don't pay much for it, though… It is old and basic.
Does it work? Make sure of that. Test everything before handing out your cash.
Wonder why the camera is for sale. Seeing that prices of brand-new cameras are coming down and down it is probably pointless buying older technology just to save a few dollars - buy a new camera. At long distance you have no chance to test before purchase.
- What you prefer nikon digi cam or ipad?
- Which digi-cam is better? Sony canon nikon or any other comparatively?
- Can I see videos through a cable connecting from my digi cam to my tv?
- A Digi cam with 8x optical zoom in the range of 10000Rs?
- I'm getting the Nikon D5100. What particular things can I do to achieve the film look?
