Stop Active D-Lighting on Nikon 1 J2?
I read somewhere that you can set the Active D-Lighting to automatic or manual? I personally preferred it before I tried out the Active D-Lighting in the automatic setting, but now I don't know how to change it back to how it was. So does anyone know how you can change it back to manual?
The setting is in the menu.
On my Nikon V1, there are actually two D-lighting settings. One on the playback menu (looks like a >), and the other on the shooting menu (with the camera icon). The playback D-lighting allows you to retouch previously taken photos, and I don't think that is the one you want.
On the shooting menu, scroll down to "Active D-lighting", then depress the OK or the right command button, and then set it to on or off (there's no auto setting, just on or off).
It should be the same on your J2, but if not, look in your manual under D-Lighting.
