Spot on my nikon 55-200 lens?

I just bought a nikon 3100 and received it in the mail today, however i've come to notice there's a small spot in the bottom center of the 55- 200 nikon lens that came with it. It doesn't show up when you look through the viewfinder with the camera off ( the battery isn't charged yet but of course you can still see through) so i'm wondering is it supposed to be there or should i get a replacement.

Might be just something that can wash off, might be a flaw in the lens coating. Get a replacement. (This is a big arguing point for buying locally rather than mail order when you're first starting out, returns are much easier.)
