I'm getting a camera and I'm stuck between 2 similar cameras. The Fujifilm FinePix S2950 and the Nikon L110… They are similar in price and differ in various features. I'm not looking for a very professional camera, just a bit of an upgrade.

They are almost completely equal.http://snapsort.com/compare/Fujifilm-S2950-vs-Nikon_Coolpix_L110 In which case I'd go with the Nikon. Between Nikon and Canon they are the top camera manufacturers in the world. Fuji isn't in the top 5. Doesn't mean they don't make good cameras, they do. Just that Nikon is the safer bet.

I own the L110 and love it. Hands down a fantastic point and shoot camera. I think there's an L120 released now that is te same list price the L110 was when I purchased it, only with a slightly better zoom and flash. Its capable of taking FANTASTIC pictures. The auto focus is great, though the macro mode isn't the best. If your unaware, macro is just used to take a very close picture, usually of a lady bug or something like that. Though SLR cameras are definatly the way to go to get the best quality image, the L110 can do some incredible things too once you get the hang of it. Not too hard to learn either.
