Point and Shoot Camera for a Concert, Any Good Ones?
I'm going to a music festival soon. I need a camera suitable, like a point and shoot camera.
I own a nikon 3100 but can't take it, so i need to downgrade for the day.
What's a good camera that won't cost too much and has good optical zoom and mega pixels for concert material. (concerts going into night time etc)
MP's don't matter, what matters is getting enough light on the sensor. So the lens need to have a wide aperture rating. Think at least F2.8 or less. How higher the aperture number how smaller the hole so how less light. F2, 8 is very nice to have on a compact if you can get one with F2.0 even better.
Next is the sensor well maybe one of those new Sony BSI sensors not sure in what models they come but if you check the spec sheets you should find that out. They are backlit so they are better at low light situations.
Concerts are a though time for any any camera. The light situation is horrible yes we can see things but the camera wants MORE. Even with a DSLR it is though. So even a good Compact might have troubles.
I would say keep an eye on the lens try to find one that is reviewed to have good low light performance, low noise that is. And just try.
