Know of any good point and shoot cameras?
I have a Nikon D3000, but I don't always like carrying it around.
So, I'm looking for a good point and shoot camera that's not super expensive. Something that I can carry around with me especially for vacation, but I still would like it to be a good quality camera.
I've been searching around, but nothing really stands out to me quite yet. Wondering if any of you have any suggestions.
It would help if you could tell us your budget. The Powershot 300HS and 110HS are two good (and affordable) choices.
Any of the nikon coolpix cameras or sony digital cameras are good quality
The kodak easyshare DX7440 isn't half bad and is inexpensive.
If you're looking for a budget digital compact camera for either yourself or as a present and you want good quality and good picture performance then you need to take a serious look at the new Canon IXUS 230 HS.
Go with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ47K it has very nice lens that will really get out there, very low distortion even on maximum zoom. It's fast for a bridge camera, as fast as some DSLR cameras. It has a full manual mode and it's intuitive, so if you already know how to use a manual camera, it'll only take a few minutes to come up to speed; it also has full manual focus, a welcome addition. Takes HD video. Quality on photos and video is very good. This camera does better than some other bridge cameras at higher ISO settings, although its small sensor still can't compare with a DSLR or EVIL camera.
