Nikon SLR Cameras

Nikon or Canon? A good price? Which camera?

Okay, so I want to invest in a good camera, one that does good with photography AND has good quality for videos. I'd rather the camera be better at photography, I just don't want the video to be horrible because I'll be using video aswell. So I'm not sure whether to get a Nikon or a Canon NOR what camera I'm going to chose… Any recommendations or suggestions?

***OH, and not so pricey aswell.

Neither Nikon nor Canon are available at what a layman would call a good price.

There are other DSLR manufacturers as well and Sony's SLTs excel in video (although the jury's still out as to their usefulness as still cameras) but you're looking at $600 and upwards.

There are cheaper cameras, EVIL/CSC and superzoom, (expensive) bridge (cheaper) or point-and-shoot (cheapest of all) but your best bet is to work out a budget and go from there. NEVER limit yourself to only two manufacturers, as long as you avoid Benq, Vivitar and Kodak.

If you want to spend around $200 go for a nice point and shoot camera. I have a list of the best ones:

http://www.amazon.com/...ive=390957

Out of these i recommend Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS 12.1 MP Digital Camera:

But if you are willing to spend $400 or above get a DSLR camera. List of the best ones:

Out of these i highly recommend Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2 MP CMOS Digital SLR with 18-55mm IS II Lens and EOS HD Movie Mode:

Hope this helps.
