What setting is for capture fast motion like Skateboarding with my Nikon D7000?
I just bought it. And i need advise.
Try the "Sports" mode. To do this go to "Scene Mode" on your topside left hand dial, then select "sports" with the main command dial. This will give you fast shutter speed. Pages 7 and 40 in the attached manual.
Well to stop motion, you will need a shutter speed of at least 1/500 sec. The faster the better.
You can put the Mode Dial to 'A' for Aperture Priority Mode, and choose the lowest f-stop you have.
Now press the shutter button down half way, and see what it reads. If it is showing below 1/500, then raise your ISO accordingly.
Either use P, A, S, or M mode. Make sure your shutter speed is at least 1/250th of a second, if not higher. Raise your ISO or open up the aperture to help increase shutter speed. Make sure your autofocus point is set to continuous-af mode.
